IAMM President 1916-1920
Oskar Klotz was born in Preston, Ontario. Graduating from Toronto and McGill Universities, he held academic positions in Canada, America and Brazil. His particular interest in yellow fever motivated him to spend time in Nigeria and he became the leading authority on the pathological diagnosis of that disease. He was responsible for the reorganization and establishment of modern laboratories in various centres. He was devoted to the IAMM and to the museum method of teaching gross pathology. He organized the Museum of the Banting Institute of the University of Toronto.
