IAP Bursary Application

2024 XXXV Cancun International Congress

October 27-31, 2024

Bursaries have been established to support trainees and pathologists in their early career from under-served countries to attend International Congresses of the IAP. This has been supported by the Education Committee as well as by the many IAP Divisions, including USCAP.

Bursaries provide funding for IAP 2024 congress registration and contributions for travel costs and hotel accommodation in Cancun.  Exact arrangements are to be determined for financial contributions towards flight and hotel accommodation. More details to be announced in due course.

Please note however that you can only be awarded one bursary from any of the ones offered for applicants wishing to attend the upcoming IAP Congress.

Important Update:

Looking at the resources we have available for each successful bursary application, we are aware of the increasing costs of travel, particularly from the distances involved for many of you. The IAP aims to support as many of you as possible to attend the meeting but we also appreciate that the amount that we can award each recipient may not cover the entire cost incurred.

For that reason, you are strongly encouraged to seek matching funding to assist you from sources such as your home IAP Division (many of whom have already been very generous in supporting the bursary process), your host institutions including your supervisors, your health provider systems, and commercial sources such as pharmaceutical companies and equipment and reagent suppliers. If you require supporting evidence to secure such funding, please contact us if necessary.
